Camping Sleeping Top Tips

It is not always an amazing experience for everyone to go camping. One of the most popular dislikes about camping are related to uncomfortable sleeping; therefore we decided to bring you or at least remind you on some top tips for comfortable camping sleeping.
Our top tips for comfortable camping sleeping are:

  1. Make sure you do your research for the different camping sleeping products, such as camping sleeping bags, air mattresses, inflatable mattresses, camping sleeping pads, air beds or self inflated mattresses. All of these products have different benefits and compromises - so you will need to decide which is most important to you: size and weight, materials, guarantees, durability, anti-allergic features, temperature and others. Some people prefer an ultra lightweight self-inflatable pad, sacrificing some comfort so they can pack light and move quickly. If you're more a "drive up and camp for a week" kind of camper, a heavier but more luxurious air mattress or cot bed might suit your style.
  2. When pitching your tent, make sure you do it on an even surface so you do not end up sleeping in an awkard position.
  3. Make sure your tent is below a tree or something that gives you shade so it minimizes your tent getting too hot and waking you up. Shade also protects your tent colour and protects the tent material from UV rays that will degrade its performance over time.
  4. Noise might be an issue that might influence how comfortably you sleep. Check with the park manager for the quietest spots in the campground.
  5. Comfortable pillows, blankets and ear plugs always are handy.
  6. When buying a new camping tent, check how the air flows in and through the tent to keep you cool on hot days. See how many windows and other features the tent offers to get the fresh air inside. Conversely, if you're buying a tent for winter camping, make sure you can close it up tight to minimise heat loss when the mercury dives way down.
  7. The more active you are during the day, the more exhausted you might be during the night. This might help you with your sleeping so be active!
  8. Avoid storing food or any other item with a strong smell that might bring insects inside your tent. Nothing is more annoying and destructive to a good sleep while you're camping than being under siege from mosquitos.
  9. Avoid coffee and energy drinks before going to sleep.
  10. You might want to switch off your mobile phone or put your mobile phone in silent mode so you avoid being waken up.
  11. Have a laugh, meditate and get prepared for the best sleep..stop thinking about any worries..LIFE IS GOOD.
