Visitors to the Great Lakes region on the mid North Coast will be treated to new facilities at Jimmy’s Beach Holiday Park following a $3m refit and its reopening this month.

New North Coast Holiday Parks administration, and Crown Lands Public Reserves Management Fund loan funding provided for the redevelopment which includes a new camp kitchen, campfire and amenities block. A refit of the existing amenities block to include disabled and family facilities was carried out, along with new turf on all sites, graded roads and new trees planted.

A new addition to the park are the Safari tents, fitted with all the modern conveniences and a deck make up the full range of accommodation options of six cabins, three beach tents, 40 camp sites, 105 powered sites and 22 holiday vans.

The boom times for Crown land holiday parks will continue following the NSW government's decision to abolish stamp duty on caravans.

From July, caravans and camper trailers bought in NSW will be around $1000 cheaper thanks to this State Budget initiative.

NSW holiday parks have enjoyed bumper bookings over the past year and this is set to continute when more caravans hit the road as prices drop.

To make booking a holiday easy, over 260 Crown land holiday parks are located on the Caravan and Camping NSW website.

The site offers a quick and easy way to find a NSW holiday park in your desired location, plus lots more information including which parks are pet friendly, accomodation options, facilities, photo galleries and park profiles.

New and seasoned campers can also subscribe on the website to a quarterly newsletter with the latest information on special deals, promotions, offers and discounts throughout the year.
