Burrendong Caravan Park - Lake Burrendong State Park
Lake Burrendong State Park offers year-round attractions for fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, bushwalkers, campers and picnickers. With an arboretum with native plants and animals, and a mass of subtropical vegetation and local bird life, Lake Burrendong has something for everyone. Some of the best scenery in NSW can be viewed from the many walks through Burrendong and Mookerawa.
Add a little excitement by looking for gold in the creek beds around the parks. Rod and reel enthusiasts will enjoy the fishing, with redfin the top catch, while catfish and Murray cod and Golden perch (yellow belly) can also be caught. Yabbies can also be caught with nothing more than a piece of string and bit of bait. Through the spring and summer seasons, Burrendong and Mookerawa offer pleasure boating, sailing, swimming and water skiing.

The world-famous Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo, housing many of the world's exotic animals, can be reached within an hour's drive from Lake Burrendong. There are limestone caves to tour not far from the nearby town of Wellington, less than half an hour away by road. Other activities include: 4W driving, bird watching, canoeing, skateboarding, tennis, volleyball, water skiing, walking/hiking trail, golf, fossicking.
