Located on the Merriwa River, the Merriwa Caravan Park is a small, quaint park. The park is pet friendly.
Activities
Access to Goulburn River National Park and Battery Rock Picnic Area. Merriwa also hosts the annual Festival of the Fleeces every June long weekend, where sheep are paraded down the main street in red socks (along with many other events throughout the weekend).
Accommodation
Cabin sleeping 6 (a double bed and 4 singles). Linen available with kitchenette and access to showers and laundry.
How to get there
Centrally located 2 hours from Tamworht, Dubbo and Newcastle, with Mudgee, Muswellbrook and Scone all within an hour's trip.
Best time to visit
June long weekend for the Festival of the Fleeces.
